RE-PLUG proposes an innovative solution: to “re-plug” disused structures back into the urban fabric by transforming them into sustainable, 24-hour co-working and event spaces. By reusing decommissioned buses, containers, and vessels as modular architectural units, the project gives new life to waste materials while offering flexible, low-cost, and energy-efficient workplaces for young entrepreneurs and creators.
Each module is redesigned through technological edge reconstruction, allowing it to be freely connected and combined — much like LEGO blocks. This modular system enables easy transportation, quick assembly, and reconfiguration based on different spatial or functional needs, significantly reducing construction waste and carbon emissions.
Beyond functionality, RE-PLUG also emphasizes comfort, aesthetics, and community. The design includes rooftop gardens, open decks, and shared lounges that foster collaboration and relaxation, creating a micro-ecosystem where creativity and sustainability coexist.
Ultimately, RE-PLUG is not just a workspace — it is a new typology for urban regeneration, reconnecting people, materials, and the environment. By redefining how we inhabit and reuse the city’s forgotten structures, it transforms waste into potential and isolation into connection.
